Congregational Society Church (first) is dedicated.

(March) Originally the Hanover Street Church, it is located on Hanover Street near Portland Street. The congregation was established on July 18, 1825. Lyman Beecher is the first minister. The building is destroyed by fire on December 31, 1829 (2/1/1830), and replaced by a new building (second) on Bowdoin Street in 1831.* The congregation becomes the Bowdoin Square Baptist Church and moves to a new building (third) on Cambridge Street in 1840 and is dissolved in 1861.
